First Citizen Academy being offered
Published on June 04, 2024
The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office is pleased to offer its first Citizens Academy to any resident interested in learning more about law enforcement operations and the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Citizen Academy aims to improve our law enforcement/citizen partnership through education and participation.
Our Academy will present a wide range of topics and demonstrations. We hope to provide a broad educational experience that will acquaint attending citizens with the mission of sheriff's personnel and the law requirements to which deputies must conform while carrying out their prescribed duties.
The Academy will consist of seven sessions meeting once a week, on Thursday evenings, from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning August 1, 2024. The majority of the classes will be held at the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office Training Room, located at 30 Corban Ave SE Concord, NC 28025.
Note: One class is scheduled to meet off campus.
