WHO IS "CRIME STOPPERS"?

Crime Stoppers is a citizen-supported partnership between the media (TV, radio, newspapers), citizens and law enforcement who join together to fight crime in Cabarrus County.

Through the Crime Stoppers program, citizens who have knowledge of a specific crime are encouraged, either for civic or monetary reasons, to come forward and give police this information. The program allows any citizen providing information to remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS if they so desire. In this way the citizen is assured that his/her identity will be protected.

CURRENT CRIME STOPPERS:

Betty Ann Stevens was murdered inside her Cabarrus County home two years ago. A family member discovered Stevens’s body and notified the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office on October 31, 2004. The Sheriff's Office wants to question Bobby Arnett Nicholson concerning information he may have about this homicide. Bobby Nicholson also goes by the name of "Chinaman." If you go to the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office web site home page and type in his name in the inmate search box on the left you can view a photograph of him. If you know where Nicholson may be or if you have information about this murder, call Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers at 704-93CRIME.
